China Teenager Gets Death for Murdering Official

BEIJING A Beijing court sentenced a teenager and an accomplice to death on Friday for killing a younger brother of former vice-premier Zou Jiahua in a robbery attempt that shocked the Chinese capital. The court convicted Ma Ke, 18, and Jiang Tao, 46, of stabbing Zou Jingmeng to death in city's western Haidian district on February 22, the official Xinhua news agency said.
A third defendant, Han Shulong, 21, was sentenced to life in prison and fined 5,000 yuan ($600), Xinhua said. It gave no further details. The three men have 10 days to appeal. (Reuter)
